Zina Community Food Support runs a weekly food pantry, home delivery routes, and neighborhood food drives along the East Franklin corridor — so groceries stay within reach for every family, elder, and student nearby.
Zina Community Food Support began as a card table of donated groceries outside a Franklin Avenue apartment building in 2021. Today we're a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, but the model hasn't changed: neighbors sourcing food for neighbors, with dignity and without a means test at the door.
Free grocery distribution every Saturday morning, open to anyone in the neighborhood — no ID, income proof, or appointment required.
Volunteer drivers bring grocery boxes to elders and residents with limited mobility across [ add the real neighborhoods/areas you cover ].
Surplus, still-good produce and bread recovered from area grocers and bakeries, sorted and shared before it ever reaches a dumpster.
To make sure every household along the East Franklin Avenue corridor has reliable, dignified access to food — through a weekly pantry, home delivery, and food rescue, with no barriers at the door.
A Minneapolis where food insecurity is met by strong, neighbor-run support systems in every corridor — where asking for help carries no stigma, and no good food goes to waste while someone nearby goes hungry.
Zina Community Food Support is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. Every gift is tax-deductible, and our finances are open for anyone to review.
